THE LADY'S MANTLE
The lady's mantle is a perennial herb with a short rhizome carrying ascending or sprawling stems with dentate lobes of a circular or kidney-shaped outline. The inflorescence is a compound terminal cyme made up of dense clusters of small yellow-green flowers. The plant is softly pubescent.
USES OF LADY'S MANTLE
1. The lady's mantle is used as a mild astringent, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and menstrual cycle regulator.
2. It is used as a treatment of digestive disorders.
3. It is a relaxant for muscular spasms amongst others.
It is found both in the wild and in cultivated gardens. It has a time honored traditional use as a woman's healing herb. The lady's mantle has astringent and styptic properties, on account of the tannin it contains. From time immemorial, the lady's mantle has been known with the ability of aiding in a number of women's problems, ranging from heavy periods to sagging breasts. The lady's mantle also boasts a reputation for lightening and softening the skin; fade freckles and age spots amongst others.
According to herbalist Lesley Bremness, you can achieve a lighter and soft skin by doing the following:
1. Crush the fresh leaves to extract their juice.
2. Dab this juice on the spot you want to lighten.
3. Leave for several minutes before rinsing off.
Alternatively, infuse the leave in hot water and use the herbal water in place of plain water in lotion recipes.

1. It is used in cosmetics.
2. It is used in aromatherapy.
3. It is used in beverages.
Chamomile is more famous as a hair lightener than a skin whitener. However, chamomile works effectively to whiten hands and the complexion. If you want to achieve a skin whitening results, follow these steps:
1. Infuse the flowers or a few bags of chamomile tea for use as a facial steam.
2. Cool and strain the mixture and as a skin -whitening hand soak.
3. Always test a small patch of skin before using this traditional whitening herb on a larger area.
HORSERADISH

USES OF HORSERADISH
Horseradish has been used as a herbal treatment for respiratory problems, joint arthritis amongst others. Although, too much horseradish can burn the skin. Horseradish is a very good skin lightener. The herb is necessary if you want a natural bleaching agent for the skin. It has no side effect when used according to the proportions required. For face, prepare it as follows:
1. Grate 1 tsp. of horseradish or use 1 tsp. of prepared horseradish.
2. Combine it with 1/2 each lemon juice and vinegar.
3. Add 3 drops of rosemary essential oil.
4. Apply to your face and leave on for a few minutes before rinsing off.
Alternatively, mix a grated horseradish and organic plain yoghurt and use it as a face mask. Rinse off after some minutes.
