HOW TO NOURISH YOUR HAIR WITH OKRA

Okra is a flowering plant in the mallow family which is valued for its edible green seed pods. The plant and its seed pods are also known as the 'lady's fingers'. Okra is mucilaginous. This is to sat that, it has a slime or slippery characteristics. Okra has a high fiber, vitamin C, and folate content. It is also a good source of calcium and potassium as well as an antioxidants. This vegetable is used in many recipes and it is also a part of many nutritional diets as it is highly beneficial.
                   HOW TO USE OKRA ON HAIR
                      AS A   HAIR CONDITIONER
      If you want to condition your hair, boil okra with some water, and the transparent mucilage you get can be used as a hair conditioner. All you have to do is to wash your hair and squeeze out the excess water. Do not dry hair, just apply the slippery mucilage through your hair and leave it for 45 minutes before rinsing it out properly warm water and style your hair as usual.
                     AS A SCALP MOISTURIZER
       If you have a very dry hair and your scalp is always itchy, okra is the best solution for that. Okra is an excellent moisturizer mostly for dry and itchy scalp. Okra is very tender and cool on hair when you apply it. It is not harsh at all like most hair moisturizers. So, when you observe that your hair is lifeless, apply okra mucilage on it and you will be glad you did.
                   AS A TREATMENT FOR DANDRUFF
         Okra is very effective in treating scalp dandruffs which might occur to due to lack of proper care of your hair. This is achieved due to its moisturizing effect on hair. Okra is beneficial in improving the overall scalp condition and prevents dandruffs. As you continue to use okra as a hair rinse, it will give your hair an amazing shine as well as  giving your distressed hair its bounce once again.
