Okra is a flowering plant in the mallow family which is valued for its edible green seed pods. The plant and its seed pods are also known as the 'lady's fingers'. Okra is mucilaginous. This is to sat that, it has a slime or slippery characteristics. Okra has a high fiber, vitamin C, and folate content. It is also a good source of calcium and potassium as well as an antioxidants. This vegetable is used in many recipes and it is also a part of many nutritional diets as it is highly beneficial.
                   HOW TO USE OKRA ON HAIR
                      AS A   HAIR CONDITIONER
      If you want to condition your hair, boil okra with some water, and the transparent mucilage you get can be used as a hair conditioner. All you have to do is to wash your hair and squeeze out the excess water. Do not dry hair, just apply the slippery mucilage through your hair and leave it for 45 minutes before rinsing it out properly warm water and style your hair as usual.
                     AS A SCALP MOISTURIZER
       If you have a very dry hair and your scalp is always itchy, okra is the best solution for that. Okra is an excellent moisturizer mostly for dry and itchy scalp. Okra is very tender and cool on hair when you apply it. It is not harsh at all like most hair moisturizers. So, when you observe that your hair is lifeless, apply okra mucilage on it and you will be glad you did.
                   AS A TREATMENT FOR DANDRUFF
         Okra is very effective in treating scalp dandruffs which might occur to due to lack of proper care of your hair. This is achieved due to its moisturizing effect on hair. Okra is beneficial in improving the overall scalp condition and prevents dandruffs. HOW TO USE BLACK PALM KERNEL OIL

The wonders of black palm kernel oil cannot be overemphasized. From time immemorial, black palm kernel oil has been in existence without appreciating its benefits. Black palm kernel oil is common in West African countries especially Nigeria. It is mostly seen in the rural areas. It is very affordable, because people neglects it, without knowing that, it is one of best oil that has so many uses. The European merchants that trades with West African countries, hardly purchased black palm kernel oil because, they never knew the importance of it, instead, they occasionally purchased palm oil  for use in Europe. Black palm kernel oil is totally different from palm oil. Black palm kernel oil is more saturated than palm oil.
              Palm kernel is a nut from a palm tree which has an edible seed inside. It is the oil from the seed that is widely known as black palm kernel oil. In some part of West Africa, the seed can be eaten raw or with other staple food. Black pal kernel oil is a highly saturated vegetable fats than palm oil. It does not contain cholesterol which  might be harmful to health instead, it is rich in lauric acid which helps to raise blood cholesterol levels. It can be stored for a very long time without alterations. It has a nutty smell that reminds someone of the rural lifestyle.
   HOW TO EXTRACT THE OIL FROM THE SEED
1. Break the palm nuts, and remove the black seeds inside.
2. Soak the seeds in water for one hour.
3. Remove them from the water after one hour and put it in a pot.
4. Put it on a fire and make sure that there is no single water in the pot.
5. As you are cooking it dry, the oil will be coming out.
